Aquatic Leisure is owned and run by John Wheeler who is a freelance instructor and independent training provider located in Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK.
Aquatic Leisure provides training and assessments for personal & professional development in canoeing, kayaking, first aid and water safety. Courses can be arranged around individual requirements including providing training for BC British Canoeing, RLSS Royal Life Saving Society and BCU Lifeguards national governing body awards. Aquatic Leisure also provides HSE, aquatic and outdoor First Aid training, and a wide range of RLSS and BCU Lifeguarding water safety, rescue and lifeguard awards including RLSS Pool Lifeguard.
Guided tours within Poole Harbour and along the Dorset Jurassic coastline can be arranged upon request.
Training for canoeing, kayaking, first aid, RLSS lifesaving and pool lifeguarding can be provided for beginners, intermediate or more advanced skills. Whether you are and individual looking to find a new hobby for yourself or your family in a sport that you can enjoy an explore the outdoors, or a company looking to develop your staff's skills, knowledge and qualifications, with over 20 years experience Aquatic Leisure is able to provide you with a variety of training opportunities and NGB awards.
Training can be provided locally at one of our training locations here in Dorset or at your own venue / local area. We are happy to discuss this with you on booking.
Canoeing & kayaking will give you the opportunity to explore the outdoors for fitness, adventure and discovery whilst experiencing the freedom of nature and a great way to take regular exercise.
Aquatic Leisure can provides introductory sessions, tours exploring Poole Harbour, the Jurassic Coastline and local rivers catering for small and larger groups including stag & hen parties. Guided tours in an area of your choice can be arranged upon request.
Aquatic Leisure can also lead your mini expedition if required including supervising DofE groups doing their expeditions.
Water safety training can be provided for RLSS Open Water Rescue Test, RLSS Open Water Rescue Test for Activity Supervisors, Coasteering Staff and other people working in the outdoors around or near water. The RLSS Pool Rescue Test can be provided for those who have small leisure pools where a lifeguard is not available and the National Rescue Test For Swim Teachers and Coaches (NRASTAC).
