Aquatic Leisure is owned and run by John Wheeler who is a freelance instructor and independent training provider located in Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK.
Aquatic Leisure provides a broad range of training and assessments for personal & professional development in canoeing, kayaking, lifeguarding and water safety.
Courses can be arranged around individual or group requirements including providing training for Paddle UK (British Canoeing), and RLSS Royal Life Saving Society national governing body awards.
Aquatic Leisure also provides Canoe Lifeguard training and guided tours within Poole Harbour and along the Dorset Jurassic coastline upon request.
Training for canoeing, kayaking, first aid, RLSS lifesaving and pool lifeguarding can be provided for beginners, intermediate or more advanced skills.
Whether you are an individual looking to find a new hobby for yourself or your family in a sport that you can enjoy an explore the outdoors, or a company looking to develop your staff's skills, knowledge and qualifications, with over 25 years experience Aquatic Leisure is able to provide you with a variety of training opportunities and NGB awards.

Training can be provided locally at one of our training locations here in Dorset or at your own venue / local area. We are happy to discuss this with you on booking.

Canoeing & kayaking will give you the opportunity to explore the outdoors for fitness, adventure and discovery whilst experiencing the freedom of nature. Paddle sport is a great way to take regular exercise, and inprove health and fitness.
Aquatic Leisure can provides introductory sessions, tours exploring Poole Harbour, the Jurassic Coastline and local rivers catering for groups up to 8 - 10 people. Aquatic Leisure can also provide guided tours in an area of your choice upon request, please email us to discuss your kayaking session directly with us.
Aquatic Leisure can also lead your mini expedition if required including supervising DofE groups doing their expeditions.

Water safety training can be provided for RLSS Open Water Rescue Test for those people working near water. The RLSS Pool Rescue Test can be provided for those who have small leisure pools where a lifeguard is not always available and the National Rescue Test For Swim Teachers and Coaches (NRASTAC). Please contact us to arrange your training, development and assessments.
